2009 Holiday Open House!

Mark your calendars, because you don't want to miss the
4th Annual Holiday Open House at KGC!
Wednesday, Nov. 4th - 4 to 7pm

We will close Oct. 31st at 4pm to begin our transformation into the Holiday Spirit.
The windows will be papered so there's no peeking!

Be sure to come in between 4 and 7pm on Nov. 4th as we pull the paper down and open the doors
to reveal this year’s themes. In true KGC fashion we will have refreshments, holiday music to get you in the spirit and a chance to win a $100 shopping spree or a free Home Interior Design Consultation!

Forgive my delay in postings, it has been crazy here now with little miss Bella at the store everyday! Can you believe it, Mom and I hardly get anything done now!

But I thought I'd take just a minute to post a few pictures of this cute bed and table we just got in.

This bed can be customized to your color choice as well as size. Twin all the way to a King!

The top on this table is reclaimed wood from Canada. On the end there are company boards that can be taken off when not needed and put on when you have the whole family over for dinner! There are lots of custom options for this style table if you're looking for something like this.

And this chair isn't new, but it's our favorite and I had to post the picture. The pillow just completes the look!

A little history on Gateleg Tables

In colonial days, gateleg dropleaf tables were popular because they saved space. American gateleg tables followed early seventeenth-century English prototypes. They always had two swinging legs to support the hinged dropleaf ends, yet the shape of the tabletop varied. This table has an oval top, but square, round, and rectangular tops were also common. This table can be considered a departure from the traditions of the Jacobian style - it heralds the approach of the William and Mary style in eighteenth-century America.

Fall Colors at Keeping Good Company

Even though we haven't felt like we've had much of a summer, fall items are starting to arrive at Keeping Good Company. Although sensitive to the issue of the end of summer, fall colors are definitely a symbol of Vermont. Day by day, we'll introduce sunflowers, pumpkins and witches to help inspire you with the decorating of your home. We are delighted to showcase Byers Carolers Witches, for those of you who are collectors. Stop in for a little inspiration and to say hello!

A New Member of the KGC family!

August is here and so is little Isabella!

On August 4th at 1:46 pm, Chelsea had a healthy baby girl. Isabella Evelyn Audy weighed 7 lbs 9oz and was 20 inches long. Our customers have been so supportive as they watched Chelsea's belly grow over the past 9 months. Pam and Jeff are the proud grandparents so come in and visit and I promise they'll happily show you the pictures!
